2024 Quarterly Quality Contractor Award
Celebrating Excellence in Quality and Safety

Jim Romero, Sharpe Foreman and Jason Carothers, Penta's Senior Safety Manager
We are thrilled to announce that Sharpe Interior Systems, Inc. has been honored with the 2024 Quarterly Quality Contractor Award for our exceptional performance on the renovation of the Century City Hotel (formerly the Intercontinental Hotel) at 2151 Avenue of the Stars. This prestigious recognition, awarded by the general contracting team Penta/Pankow, celebrates our commitment to quality, safety, and professionalism on the jobsite.
The award ceremony, held on-site at the Century City Hotel, was a momentous occasion often referred to as the "Oscars of Safety." The event featured a red carpet, a backdrop for photos, and a celebration of excellence that lasted several hours.
The 2024 Quarterly Quality Contractor Award recognizes not only the safety of our work but also our performance, attitude, and achievement in the area of quality. This award underscores the dedication of our team to maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the project.
Sharpe has been entrusted with the renovation of 17 floors in this iconic building, totaling 337,000 square feet. As part of this renovation, we are installing almost 1.3 million square feet of drywall, a monumental task requiring precision, skill, and a keen focus on quality. The architectural design for this renovation is being led by Gensler, known for its forward-thinking approach and innovative designs.
A special congratulations to Jim Romero and his exceptional team, who played a pivotal role in earning this award. Jim’s leadership, combined with the dedication of his team, has been integral to the success of this high-profile project.
